Dear hope:

I have tried so hard,
Learned the hard way,
To try means to live,
To live means to try,
In this life,
Need to try,
Never give up,
Never forget hope.

Without hope what do I have to hold,
We walk in a path of nothingness,
All alone,
In the dark,
A path that is never straight,
Nothing to live for,
Never believing in ourselves,
Without our hope.

That’s not my path,
My destiny,
Is to live in hope,
To die trying,
Fight for what I know is right,
To live for the future,
Of today.

Can’t change this destiny,
My hope,
I can pull myself out of the darkness,
Into the bright light,
A path that is straight,
Never give up,
No matter what happens,
Never let go,
Of hope,
Hold it with you,
Until the day you die
For all time…
