I just finished a REALLY good book.
It was so good the last five chapters, I sat in my room for a half an hour reading them. Okay, so there's this guy named Takeo, and his wife Kaede, there were three books before this one taking place when they were teenagers(around 17) and this one takes place 16 years later and they have three daughters. The chapters jump around between characters, but it's HELLA good. And in the first three books, the man and woman spend all of the first two trying to get married. And in the last few chapters, she has a son, but one of her daughters kills it with a ninja technique(you'd have to read it) and the mother goes crazy and follows her sister who's trying to take over their reign of the three countries(again, you'd have to read it to get it) and takeo confronts her at one point. When he does she tells him she found out about a son he had with a woman I think in the second book of the trilogy(this is the epilogue) and she tells him she hates him and to do the samurai thing to kill himself(but they never use the terms samurai, ninja or japan, there's a few mor they left out though) But in the end, he dies by his son's hand as the proficy(read the damned books dammit! They're called Tales of the Otori) and she regrets what she said cause she was crazy with grief. Man, that beat Harry Potter up so bad I don't think that little magic fairy(and I use the term in the such of those from San Francisco) will ever get up! Cause this one's about ninjas, samurai, a feudal lord and so much more. When I read all of these books, I felt the emotions that the characters were supposed to be feeling, anger, joy, sorrow. THAT'S how good they were, so good, I FELT them. Say Harry Pothead and the stoned sorcers or the other one, Harry Pothead and the curse of puberty did that for you.
