♠I walked through the emptiness...♣
Dareia gasped and sat up in her bed. She looked around her room franticly. Realization hit her. '
It was just a dream.' She sighed heavily and leaned back onto her messed up pillows. That was too close, too... creepy. She let her eight year old not-so-virgin eyes wander around the room aimlessly... Reia's eyes rested on the mirror. It stretched from floor to ceiling. Reia couldn't remember when she had first seen it, she was so sure that there was a time when she didn't have it. But according to her mother, it was a baby shower present given to her by her grandparents. It wasn't like she had ever met them though.
Reia waved her left arm up and down. She watched the girl on the other side follow her movements exactly. Reia rolled her eyes. How could she actually believe that bull her mother fed her then? That thing on the opposite side of the mirror was just a reflection, nothing more. Wasn’t it?
Dareia shook her head wildly to get the doubts out of her head. Her legs swung out from under the twisted sheets and found the stone floor. A slight shiver ran up her spine to the back of her neck, where her hairs proceeded to stand on end. Reia watched the little bumps appear on her thin arms. She rubbed them vigorously as she walked purposefully out of her room. There was a slightly cold aura around her mirror, but Reia blatantly ignored it. Shi watched her slowly, following Reia’s movements, but at the same time, although Dareia was not facing the mirror, studying her closely.
When Reia got into the bathroom connected to her room, she felt the dark air slip away from her. Looking up into the wide mirror of the bathroom, she studied her reflection as it did exactly the same. ‘See everybody? Just a normal reflection I have, not possessed, just normal. Always has been, always will be.’
Or so she thought...♦... and found what I was looking for.♥
