Okay. Long time since I last typed an entry.....BUT I"M BACK!
^^
The Summer Overall:
First two and a half weeks of summer my mom, dad and sister went to Italy to hike, sight-see and rockclimb.
I don't feel like going into detail on that, but they had a great time and I looked at the hundred or so pics they took. Literally a hundred.
><
While they were gone, my grandparent's took care of me. Ugh >< I really didn't enjoy it a whole lot. The only parts I liked was the pool at their house and their letting me have all the candy and sweets I wanted. Yay! ^^ And I didn't get fat or anything cause I had swim team. If I had gotten fat I wouldn't be typing this cause I would have killed myself. ><
My grandfather would sleep at my house in my parent's bedroom, and I in mine, then he would wake me up at 6:30. I would eat, get dressed, all that crap, then leave around 7:10 to get to swim team practice at 7:30. It went to 8:30.
Most of the time after that was over, I'd go home and hang around until about lunch time or a bit before. Then Papa would drive me to his and Grandma's house, and I'd swim, possibly eat lunch, write, listen to music, draw, and get on the comp.
I had two hours a day on their computer, one a day on mine. Pretty good deal.
Then I'd go back with Papa to my house, eat dinner, get on the computer if I didn't already use my hour, shower and go to bed at 11:30.
Usually I stayed up until 1:00 writing and drawing in my book (that's the one I talked about earlier, in my first post I think).
My parent's got home on Thursday, and then I started a horseback riding camp. On
Monday of the following week.
I'm still doing that, and the swim team, though this is the last week of swim team.
I work as an assistant/helper person at the camp, helping out the beginner's, such as helping them clean the horse, tack them, get up if they're too small or don't know how, and a few other miscellaneous things. That's volunteer work, but I do it at all because I get to ride sometimes and because they have a pool.
I have chaps (cause the saddle pinches my skin, even when I ride with pants on), helmet, crop and.......wait for it................A SADDLE!
A good one too. A Stubben. I think it was made in Ireland, though that may be part of a different line of Stubbens. I'm not sure. It hasd a high back and it's small. I think it's supposed to be a dressage saddle, because of the high back. I condition it once every week or two weeks, depending on how busy I am. I need to condition it this weekend.
I go right to camp after swim team practice.
Swim Team:
I go to Fallston Swim Club by the way.
Okay, every morning on the weekdays I get up at 6:30 and have practice from 7:30 to 8:30.
We work on endurance, (100's, 200's, pyramids and, the first warm-up we do, 200 free-style and 100 choice), turns and starts.
Sometimes we play Sharks and minnows, water polo or other games in the front pool (we practice in the back pool), though rarely.
On Saturday mornings and Wednesday afternoons, we have meets. There were nine this year, and only three at other pools. Usually we have only two at Fallston.
I swam free-style and breastroke on all of them, did two relays on the fourth-to-last and the second-to-last meets, and backstroke on the last two meets.
I got three heat winner ribbons over the course of the year. My highest place in free-style was second; scored three points for my team (usually I'm sixth or fifth, but I think the other girls in my event from the other team were lousy, no offense of course). Highest place in breastroke was second, another three points. And highest in backstroke was third I think. That's one point for my team.
I still have the Championship (optional) to do, so that's why I'm still doing swim team.
Camp:
This takes place at Cool Meadows Farm.
Right after swim team I go to camp. At 9:00, which is the time the camp starts (I usually get there five or ten minutes before), all the helpers (Cory, Jessica, Elizabeth, Ali, me and sometimes Kara) go get horses that we need that day.
The horses:
Angel (old; mare), Bingo (yee! Used to be mine! ^^ *hugs Bingo the Thoroughbred*; gelding), Plum (older than Angel though not by much; mare), Doc (gelding), J.J. (gelding), Easter (Mr. Grumpy Gills XD; gelding), Betsey (another thoroughbred! *hugs Betsey*; mare), Brodie (gelding), Cheyenne (old-ish mare, though she acts like she's two or three years old), Nikki (o.o my dog's name!; mare), Tonto (old gelding), Cocoa (we don't really ride her, she's too young), Atlantis (he's not even at the farm currently), Dallas (mare *hugs Dallas even though she's not a thoroughbred*) and I think that's all.
Then the first group (more advanced) tacks up and rides for an hour, from 10:00 to 11:00.
Sometimes there isn't a second group (beginner's), either because they ride with the first, or because there just aren't many people that day, or they happen to all be member's of the first group. They tack up(we help them), and they ride for another hour, from 11:00 to 12:00.
Then they all do bareback for a half hour, from 12:00 to 12:30, unless it's too hot or nobody wants to.
With a second group, we get down to the pool and our lunches at 1:00. Without, 12:00 or 12:30.
We play tennis in the tennis courts near the pool, swim in the pool and eat lunch that we brought.
I swim for atleast an hour, eat lunch after I swim, usually, and write and draw in my book, and read one I sometimes bring, called Middlesex. I also listen to my iPod.
The camp ends at 4:00. Varies for me depending on what's happening the rest of the day.
Yesterday:
Did swim team, and on the way to camp, a bird hit the window of our car.
O_O
Hope it's okay.
Also, Kara found out about the book I'm writing, and read to page 65. She said I had a good grasp of language and grammar, and that I described things (scenes, charecters, events) very well.
Today:
Nothing speacial today, except I was tired and sore (since the beginning of the week) and I didn't get to ride anyone. sad
Other Things:
MY BOOK:
I'm almost done my book, called Dragon Forest, in the series Dragon Lands. It's the first book of course, and the first book I'll finish since fifth grade.
I've got the second one all outlined, the whole plot and everything, just don't have the title, though I have a good idea of what it might be.
Dragon Forest is on page 110, and I've got no more than twenty or twenty-five pages to go, though it's more likely to be ten or fiteen.
MY iPOD:
If I didn't already tell you, I got my silver, four gig iPod nano on the third or second-to-last week of school. I named it Silverheart, even though I wanted to name it Blackwing.
Actually, in the store I thought of Blackwing once I saw the black nano. But that was eight gig, and I didn't hace enough with me or at all.
So I got the silver four gig and named it Silverheart (a charrie in my book ><')
But later, (still in school), I got a black, metal (tin) case for it, put it on, and was able to rename my iPod Blackwing.
*cuddles Blackwing*
I've got 234 songs on there now. ^^
Not much for normal standards, but I can't find some of my CD's, one broke and I have to get a new one, and some are on radio stations and not on CD's I normally get and I can't find them on iTunes.
Scott:
I miss him
I miss him making me laugh, seeing his face and sitting next to him in science class and near him in social studies.
I miss him
I love him though whee
*hesitantly put up names and icons*
heart Scott heart
I heart Scott
heart Scott and Caitlyn heart
*wails* I MISS HIM!!
Dan:
I don't miss him. He's a jerk to my friends, and I think I'm finally beginning not to like him very much, because of that, and Scott.
*huggles Scott and wishes he were here*
Okay, so that it!
Wow, that's one big-a** post! XD
