After an incredibly busy week (3 assignments, a midterm, a report, a lab), I find out in the middle of the week that my Internet connection is messed up. It's really really slow to connect and then every few minutes it'll cut off completely and display a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" window. And I'm on DSL. I figured out that I can unplug my cable, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in. This will re-establish my very slow connection for another two minutes. >_< I checked my connection (I'm on my school's network) and everything seems fine. I even switched my cable, in case it was defective. Nothing works. I scanned for viruses and spyware using two different programs. I give up. xp Time to retreat to some anime. ninja

Gaia News

I forgot to mention that because of my connection problem, I am currently making 0 gold. I have the Gold Gain Glitch (meaning I don't gain gold by posting or voting in polls), but I did earn gold by lurking. Now I'm not even getting that! gonk What's more is that yesterday it suddenly started working and being fast again. I was so happy. Then I realized that I couldn't post on Gaia. Outside of Gaia it was working fine. But then when I tried to post, it would link me back to the page. ;_; Anyway, when I rebooted my computer, it reverted to its slowness. I could post, but it was sloooow again. stressed

I joined the GEN guild this week. It's pretty fun so far, although I've only made about 3 posts. xd I'm not very active in my other Guild either, though. sweatdrop I wish Guilds would be placed in Egosearch or something. Then I'd actually remember to post.

Ahh, right. It was Fuzzykit's birthday on Wednesday. whee heart Wish her a Happy Birthday if you see her around!

Anime

Anime is good for the soul. Or at least one plagued by Internet problems. O_o At any rate, I saw some more anime today.

Episodes 4 and 5. Well, I liked the first three better. Probably because they were more mysterious and mystical. The episodes I saw today were more technical with less eye candy. ^^; Besides, they were more mundane. The main character explores a different world, which doesn't seem that different from his old one. Some interesting new characters are introduced, though. 3nodding

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Episodes 1-3. I can't say if it's better than the movie because, frankly, I didn't understand the movie much. sweatdrop Though I'm not saying I understand this much more. confused It seems decent though. And a lot of the characters in the movie are included, so perhaps further viewing will help my understanding of the movie. Oh, and there are these "cute" talking machine tanks things. They have really cute voices, but really, I can't truly call them cute because their machine design isn't cute. Bah, whatever. I don't make sense.

X / 1999
Episodes 19-20. I missed several episodes of this. I've seen the first third, but I haven't seen the second third. And now I'm watching the last third. X really isn't the kind of anime you should watch out of order. =_= But the storyline is good, and I really like the animation and character design. These particular episodes include the backstory of a few characters, which I enjoyed a lot. And a relationship finally came to fruition, at a rather high cost. It also raised a few questions. I'm looking forward to the next episode. ninja
