Kailer, A Wanderer's Journal
Wassup y'all?! I'm just a simple wanderer on the road of life, trying to have a peaceful existence. I estimate true friends with my heart and I expect the same in return. And I can go from friendly to a p***k, it all depends on how you treat me.
The Beginning Of The End. Part I
Hey you, its been over a month since "you know what" so I'm finally taking down my mourning signature and decided it make one final entry concerning this event, by writing down a summary of the story on how it began and it ended. So yeah, this entry is gonna be big and sad, so feel free to skip this and the next entry it if you want, but at least please take a look at the signature and all the names in it in part 2, thank you. (Speaking of which, anybody know the code to center ur text and change the font?)

It all started after my dad was diagnosed with Cancer. I cant remember the date when that happen, but I believe it happened past the middle of last year.

After that, dad gave it some thought at what to do next. Should he give up? Or go into therapy? Thankfully, in the end the opted for therapy and went through a series of kimotherapies, which caused him to go bald, as expected.

At some point, dad was stable, but as his last kimo came close, he started to loose consciousness, going comatose. Then family wasted no time into arranging everything for a trip to Costa Rica, in order to receive the final part of his treatment, which was radiation.

We left in the first week of January 2005. After we arrived, the first night at Costa Rica was a small nightmare. Dad was a walking like zombie, would not remain still in bed and every time he wanted to go to the bathroom, he would not make it. It was like taking care of a big baby.

First week was hell, we moved twice till we found the right place to stay. The place where we were supposed to stay the first day we arrived was disgusting! Dirty, messy and expensive, so we moved to an in-home hotel. Basically, the owners of the 2nd place where renting the many rooms of their house like a mini hotel and I must say, they were very really folks, they even gave us a ride to the hospital more than once. I really hope their business prospers. Anyway, after a few weeks there, we moved again to a hotel and we stayed there till the day of our return home.

During all those moving and as time passed, we were shocked to discover that particles of his lung Cancer had moved to his brain, so they had to radiate his chest and head. Luckily, dad started to responded very positively to the radiations and by the end of the month he was practically back to his old self, minus his baldness.

He was so good that we even spend the last week of the month (Jan) checking places in Costa Rica as if we were in vacations. I must add that during that time I took the opportunity to buy some souvenirs from an Anime store I discovered in a mall. Dad’s current good health at the moment and finding that store made me think I was in heaven. Damn I love Costa Rica, I even got to see a cute tomboy.

After our safe return home on February, we thought everything back was to normality. Dad even went on his usual 2 day vacation at the beach on the first week, but happiness was lived shortly, a week to be precise. When he came back from the beach, he was complaining about feeling nauseous and with a small headache. At first, we didn’t pay it much attention thinking that it was no big deal, but boy were we all wrong.
