Chapter 1: The Leaky Cauldron, Gringotts, and Eleanor Ballantyne, Chancellor of Diagon Alley
I had to get to Diagon alley the muggle way...i was bit nervous too, i mean ive bin to the muggle world before but not on my own like this. Tom owns the leaky cauldron which is the bar i have to walk through to get to Diagon Alley, his name isnt really Tom but the original owner, the one who started the bar up, his name was Tom and the name just stuck. My family is already in Diagon Alley right now and they told me to meet them there. there were some student in the Leaky cauldron they were ordering butter beers and Tm had asked me if i wanted anything but i quickly said no. i want to hurry and get my supplies and hurry off to Kings cross station!
Lucita open the polished wooden door and step into the cozy room. A large blackened pot hangs over the crackling flames in the large stone fireplace that seems to be the centerpiece of the small room. It is flanked by two large overstuffed armchairs that are covered in a delicate red and cream floral material. The thick, luxurious carpet beneath her feet is a rich cream colour that matches the chairs perfectly. Large bookcases line the walls all filled with different books and papers. As she glance at the titles on the nearest shelf Lucita realize they are all sorted alphabetically.
Lucita turned her attention to the stately oak desk on the opposite side of the room. You can see the back of the deep red chair behind the desk. The desk itself is impeccably clean; a neat stack of papers sit in the inbox, while ornately framed photos sit in perfect position on the corner. Just as you are beginning to think that no one is in, the chair behind the desk whirls around causing Lucita to step back for a moment.
The elegant older woman looks at you will a look of genuine warmth. Her short grey hair is neat as is her stylish brown business robes. A worn red shawl covers her shoulders.
"Hello dear, welcome to Diagon Alley. I am so pleased you dropped in." She stands up and comes around the desk to greet Lucita with a friendly handshake. She gestures towards the armchairs, as Lucita sat down she settles into the chair opposite from Lucita. "Would you care for a nice cup of tea?"
Lucita smile and nod. With a flick of her wand they are each holding dainty tea cups and saucers filled with steaming hot tea.
"Oh dear where are my manners? I am Eleanor Ballantyne, Chancellor of Diagon Alley. Was there anything I could do to help you out today?" She takes a sip of her tea before waving her wand at a silver platter of biscuits and cakes. The tray soars towards Lucita and hovers between the chairs while Lucita select a biscuit.
Lucita can’t help but feel like she was sitting in her grandmothers living room, not the office of the Right Honourable Chancellor of Diagon Alley. Just as Lucita are about to ask her a question, she was interrupted by a sharp rap on the door and a dark haired young woman pokes her head in.
"I am terribly sorry to interrupt Chancellor, but I thought you’d want to know about…Nigel. He’s at it again."
The soft warm look on Eleanor’s face evaporated, to be replaced with a stern cold look. Lucita knew this is not a lady that you want to cross. She was all business as she stood up abruptly. "Thank you Nikki, I will deal with him immediately." The warmth returned to her green eyes as she turned back to Lucita. "I am dreadfully sorry, dear, but this is business that must be attended to straight away. Please enjoy your visit to Diagon Alley and feel free to stop in again for tea, or if you have any questions. I am here to help."
The next thing Lucita knew she was standing outside on Diagon Alley holding onto a almond biscuit and a delicate tea cup, which to her surprise, gives a high pitched shriek and flies from her hand sailing back through the open window of the Chancellor’s office. Lucita shook her head in surprise and decide that now is the perfect opportunity to explore and Lucita start off towards Gringotts to make a withdrawal.
okay so ive just past through the wall and now im in Diagon alley, i want to hurry and get my things but i just remebered.....i have no money sweatdrop so now i have to go to Gringotts to withdraw some money, i only have 310 Galleons and i dont think my supplies cost much so i'll take out 200 Galleons, the goblin here is kind of creepy so i stayed clear of him. when i left Gringotts i explored Diagon alley looking for my parents and my little brother Kyoshi but i cant seem to find them....hmm.... Father will be please if i go get my supplies before looking for them.... i think i'll go do that
