I walk through these empty streets
Looking at the dark night skies
Laying on the ice cold sheets
Thinking about our goodbyes

You tried to control me
Take me against my will
My life washed away in the sea
I watched as you threw it off a hill

It's my life
Not yours, but mine
I felt the sting of a knife
I try to tell everyone I'm fine

I can't contol when the rain falls
Or when the lightning strikes
I can decide who's name I call
Or if it's you I like

It's mine forever
You don't ever seem to understand
That I say never
And that's where I stand
