FANTASY
by Anne-Marie Wilson
Somewhere safe and warm to rest
never being a great big pest,
Where it is easy and very peaceful
never to see all these devils,
So much I wish it was so
wrapped up in a lovely warm glow.
Where they cannot hurt me and dare not be
the very sight would make them flee,
They back off and leave me alone
to live in peace where I have flown,
To be wanted, to be needed
never again the one who pleaded.
To feel free and not be afraid
of them forever holding the spade,
To actually laugh and be happy
instead of always being unhappy,
Oh what a joy it would be
not always feeling so terribly lonely...
