Thompson Ivy glanced at his watch again and started to walk faster. He was walking on grass so he couldn't ride his skateboard. The sidewalk was within several steps away and he started to lower his skateboard. One step, skateboard on the ground in front of him. No more steps excpept to keep the board going. His books weighed more than he wanted them to, so they kept him held back. "Two minutes.. c'mon... please have my watch be a couple of minutes fast..." he mumbled as he picked up speed and rounded the sidewalk.
Of course, he lived on campus at his boarding school, but his alarm clock was two hours off, no thanks to daylight savings time. Even though that had happened a while ago.
Thompson's room for first period was only a few seconds away. He jumped off his board and bent down to pick it up as he ran in to the classroom right as the bell rang.
