B-Day Poem
Happy birthday to a special friend!
Although I haven't known you many years,
Perhaps because you've dried so many tears,
Pleasure reigns as I these greetings send.
Your happiness should last till all things end!
Because you've been so sweet and understanding--
In toughest times you've made me laugh and smile--
Rejoice in your own specialness awhile:
This I'm not requesting but demanding!
How else to make yourself the celebration,
Doing what does not come naturally?
Always your concern has been for me,
Yet now you must endure my adoration!
Friendship Poem
You have opened up a place in my heart that wasn?t before touched,
You have given me your friendship, which means so much.
Your comforting words give me peace of mind,
Something I thought I could never find.
You comfort me and make me whole,
You make me laugh and you soothe my soul.
And that is why you are the only one I can call
My very best friend of all.

A soft caress, a whisper
a quiet joy in life
Serene sun-drenched meadows
holding lover' secret thoughts
in their wild-flowered furrows.
Gentle winds ever so lightly embracing lovers
wrapped in passion's
silken blanket.
The rhythmic song of the cicada providing
an iambic melody for lovers' yearnings
Floating clouds creating a snowy ciborium
above an arborean altar
Whilst lovers partake of each other
in aphrodisiacal rites of adoration.
A soft caress, a whisper
a quiet joy in life
for their world is at peace
as they lay entwined

When I first saw you,
I was afraid to meet you,
When I first met you,
I was araid to kiss you,
When I first kissed you,
I was afraid to love you,
But now that I love you,
I'm afraid to lose you!
You must know by now, you've stolen my heart,
You have indeed, right from the start.
You are the one, my only desire,
You have kindled, an eternal fire.
Is Love?
Love is a friendship that has caught fire.
It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving.
It is loyalty through good and bad.
It settles for less than perfection,
and makes allowances for human weakness.
Love is content with the present.
It hopes for the future and it doesn't brood over the past.
It's the day-in and day-out chronicle of irritations, problems,
compromises, small disappointments, big victories,
and working toward common goals.
If you have love in your life,
it can make up for a great many things you lack.
If you don't have it, no matter what else there is,
it is not enough, so search for it, ask God for it, and share it!

Love at first touch

A gasp of breath caught in his throat
as her hand brushed against his arm.
Her enchanting musical laghter
proclaimed her feminine charm.
He trembled as she leaned to him
to whisper in his ear
thunder roared in his head
but he couldn't seem to hear.
The warmth of her promising smile
melted his heart so cold
her splendor dazzled his cynic's eyes
and caused his shriveled soul to unfold.
She stood as though waiting for him
and offered her hand for his own
he took her fingers lightly in his,
sighing now, a lover's moan.
