"No Title"
The world spins on one rung, forever and ever, not to be changed in anyway, shape, or form. But one man, a man that has never been to smart, never accounting to much in life at all has set his eye on changing one thing. Time. It was six in the afternoon of the last day of summer. The sun was brutal that day, seeming to come from the sky swooping down and scorching the earth of its life. This however didn’t come close to the way the earth seemed different in some strange way. Something on the air was substantially different. It was hard to notice, but once you did; trying to quit smoking would be harder then to ignore the sudden change. Yet, it wasn’t. Only one man could see the difference. The man that would change the world without the world knowing awoke the next day. He stretched like normal, and went downstairs to his breakfast. His breakfast the usual egg, with crispy bacon, and nice fluffy buttermilk pancakes, dripping in savory bright brown maple syrup. This was the beginning of any normal day to this man, a nice breakfast in the morning, a light lunch, followed by a large dinner, usually involving meat of some kind. Today however was different, he went down stairs, like usual, turned on the light, like usual, and flicked on a small machine, like usual. Unfortunately after that it was not like usual. The little machine did something it had never done before. The machine seemed to come alive, first a little, then a lot. Its small chrome body started jumping around on the table in little jerks. Several lights on the top started blinking in an orchestra of bright red, blue, and yellow. A small tube on top starting jerking back and forth, then more tubes below and around it moving as the air moved through it, moving important machinery in the middle. The little legs holding it started moving in a little dance across the table. Then small holes, first small, then growing larger let steam escape, the air around it started growing extremely hot, as if the sun was in the room. “Eureka,” said the man staring at the machine in the most fascinated voice. The machine jerked forward, then back, the forward again. His eyes started following its pendulum like movements across the table. The man thought he was losing his mind when the whole room started spinning in a hurricane of furry. Then it all stopped. Silence filled the room. Something was different. Nothing was the same, yet it was the same. Something out in the yard a dog yelped, a cat whined, the sprinklers went on. Right on time. Something however was different. The man reached the window, and peered outside. His face dropped, his mouth dropped. Outside, five years younger, was his wife. Houses that were built five minutes ago were gone. People he knew, and loved, were gone. Everything was gone. The man stepped back, and looked at the machine. “It worked. It actually worked!” -------
Of course this isn't done, I still got more to go.
