That's just ten days. Ten days and the price doubled. As I said, watch to see if it sticks, and also, while you're at it, have a laugh at how many Dark Halos were for sale today. I counted 8, and they all ranged from 40k+. When I checked again all the 40k range ones were gone and the 100k+ remained. If that isn't a buyout, I don't know what is. There was at least 2 pages before this buyout. I also have logs for some of the Halo sales, proving that people bought them up as a buyout or foolishly thinking it was going to stay that high. Panic buying and buyouts. Wonderful economy you have here.
Not even the Kiki Kitty went up that fast. But you know what's even worse than artifical inflation? This:

Yes, folks, that was made by someone on the admins' team, check the URL of the picture. Even though they were quoted as saying artificial inflation "sucks," they still support it very much so.
And to think, I used to call it a genius idea to get donations from people by giving them pixel items in return. But the minute you start milking the ca$h cow every chance you get you lose my respect.
"Oh boo hoo, it keeps Gaia running and you love this site so why are you complaining? You're just jealous." Nah, just bring out the quest system already and they can earn that respect back. It will solve all of the problems and put an end to all the complaining and people being ripped off.

But I think they are talking about when the price of an item is too high very early on and does not stablize. the graph is more of a gradual increase over time rather than artificial inflation (which shouldn't last too long).
That makes 2 of us. sad
Funny! I kept thinking of the quest system when reading your entry. X3~
I hope the quest system will be exactly what it's designed to do.
