i think the only set of soulmates in my oc-verses is the hime & hunny one
and even then, they're platonic soulmates

they aren't necessarily good for each other, but they both understand the other
also hime definitely resents hunter
but her hate is reserved for shishou

altho b/c i have it that yuuma & alice hit it off right away & they defo also understand each other...
welp
tbf they have a much healthier relationship; without the whole grudge/bitter feelings in the way;;
yuuma understands what alice is trying to say & he finds it refreshing how alice doesn't really lie much, even when she makes zero sense to others lol

and they both understand that feeling of meaningless
i think hunter did too, but he staked his reason for life onto one person, regardless of whether that person deserved it or no
hime got that a bit - she had no memories of her parents but... she wanted to be with them anyways
it just so happened that their wishes were diametrically aligned...
