I've decided to slowly review OZMAFIA and its numerous character routes, just as I did Nameless. Having just completed Caramia's route this past weekend, it's still pretty fresh in my mind and I'll type up a review for it as best I can.

Ah, Caramia, so sweet yet so.. Dull. He just comes across as the type who's nice to everyone and that you're never treated any differently, even after becoming his girlfriend in the game he continues to treat you without an ounce of favoritism. He's too noble, he's the zealous white knight who sides with his king, the brainless paladin who never defies the church.. You get the idea. Kyrie frequently refers to him as 'idiot lion' and I'd sadly have to admit that title suits him.

In every other character's route he seems lovable enough, stable and reliable, always quick to play negoiator. I mean in the beginning of his own route he was actually quite enjoyable, though the romance was sort of late to blossom.. He was in denial for quite awhile during his route and seemed to believe he really only saw the heroine as a daughter figure. Once the romance did blossom, I found it pretty sudden and cliche.. His confession scene was too 'hollywood' and Fuka's reaction was pretty bland as well.

I did find less stable Caramia pretty cute, he's way more endearing when he loses his courage than he is most of the other times. Well at least I did at first, but then he struck the emo chord and became somewhat annoying.. He ends up whining and self pitying so much that it's cringe worthy. On a positive note though, ending A was actually pretty nice, he gets to play white knight and saves miss Fuka, claiming his bravery again in the process. Ending B felt more like Fuka became his nanny than his lover, ugh!

I have not played his love triangle endings yet, though I will be getting to those after beating everyone's normal/focused routes.

I'm torn between choosing Axel's route next (stoic megane, yay!) or Kyrie's route. Kyrie's a unique character, on one hand he's sort of a condescending douche but on the other he's very intelligent and refined. Gah, hard to choose! Another route I'm rather curious about is Caesar.. 'Cause.. He makes cannibalistic innuendos? He seems like a really non-threatening yandere, like he'd probably keep you locked in a cage but feed you gourmet food and keep you company the whole time. xP I could be wrong though, maybe he isn't a yandere at all, maybe he's just hungry? =P
