I've sure seen a long road.
Down a black damp forbidden road.
A sorrow that may fill my heart.
My wings will crumble, my dreams will fall.
Do I even feel at all?
Yet there you stand a light of my own.
Guiding me through the storm.
Through the darkness,
I hear your voice.
You call to me and I rejoice.
I run to you and finally,
Just finally I feel safe.
I've sure seen a long road.
Now it's not as long with you here with me.
