- Life's Fight
It took me a year to build up an iron will. To stop this dangerous addiction. It took mere seconds for you to kill my heart then start the friction. It took me minutes of searching to find the old knife and only one thought of ending my life. It took me hours of cutting to find the right vein. And not even a second to bring the crimson rain. It took me some time to fade and lose sight. But that was fine, I'd given up life's fight. And as I lay there slowly dying. I can't but wonder if you'll care. Tears are pouring and I know I'm crying. Goodness love isn't fair. It took months of love, trust, and a daring start. But only one second for you to break my heart.
