The dream that could've been a movie... |

Yes! I have been having nightmares recently. But, luckily I don't get scared easily, not even by my own nightmares. And, very recently I just had a nitemare that was brilliantly fascinating. So good, that if it were a movie, it would've been a blockbuster.
Have you ever had one of those...? I woke up and said "Goddamnit! Now i'll never know what happened!" Well, i've decided to post it here, all that I can remember. Nothing too long or well-written, just the main notes of it.
It started out on an island. A prison was on the island. It was set in the future, a bit. And, they had a new way of dealing with the disorderly... They were also in a time of war (of course) and needed to "test" some things on people. But who? Well... me, and the rest of the prisoners were soon to find out.
This was a co-ed prison. Men and women all in the same place. And, as kinky as that sounds, it definately didn't swing that way. They gathered everybody into the main cell-area. And, turned on the intercoms. Yes, we all found it interesting that there were no actual guards in the building at that time. And, suspiciously, we were all wearing different colors of wristbands.
The voices told everybody that we had a deal. If we could make it out of the bottom cellar (where we were currently at) to the top floor, and out to the beach of the island - where a boat awaited (without harm) that we would be set free and get to start life over anew. But... of course, there was a catch.
They told us, we had also been given the "honor" of testing out a new biological weapon out. Fast spreading, and efficient in killing. Of course, everybody in the area laughed not believing it... Until they started firing out what looked like smoke-bombs. As people began to scatter from the center in a frantic rush, the power to most of the prison was cut. Pitch black.
People broke up eventually into the groups of their wrist-band-colors. I had orange. There was one man who seemed to know exactly what he was doing in my group. He told us to put on some vile oil from the kitchen (made sense at the time...) and we'd have to make a run for it to the stairway. But, the run would be through about 50 yards of pitch-black, open area... The stranger ran first.
As I was, reluctantly, running across for my turn, I could hear such... vivid sounds of moaning, and splattering, and thudding in the areas around me. Some voices closer than others, the feel of hands gripping at my ankles. That was the scariest part, I think.
Well, we made it to the other side, and into the stairwell. And, as we waited for our last, fourth member of the group to come across... well... We saw him in the dim glow of the flickering light in the stairway, he was so close. But, then got pulled down. We could just see him reaching out at our feet as he was pulled away into the darkness. So, we all mustered up our stregth and began the climb.
As we went from floor to floor, we began to realize that the people weren't zombies. They were still concience. Still "intelligent". Which... turned out to only make things worse. As, with their concience minds, they were also angry. A rage came over them, as the plague began to spread faster and faster. Such a black, black plague.
Well, we were on the floor just under the first. We were, of course, in good likelyhood of getting out alive! But, I couldn't leave. No, no, I had to save my love. Yes, somehow I knew that I just had a love out there in the hospital wing, somewhere. And, decided to make a run for it on my own, the other members of the team would not wait. I pleaded with them to take the time to come along with me, but they wouldn't... Such a mistake it was.
Well, I finnished my run, and by this time - I was sweating off the protecting oil from my skin. But, I did find my love. And it was a girl. *shock* Yes, a girl. Surprise surprise. Not a common thing for any of my dreams, i'll say that much. But, she was laying in that power-deprived hospital room, coughing tiredly. I looked at her, and it was clear that she had the plague virus... But, and here is where it gets fairly sad, she kept asking and pleading with me to take her with me. To save her. That she didn't want to die. It was dark, the lights were flickering, there were people dieing and convulsing, moaning out in the nearby darkness. I couldn't leave her laying there. So... Since I saw that she had some collapsed-lung-breathing-machine... I told her to close her eyes, and pulled the plug.
Then, made another run for it, for all it was worth. The plagued people were angry, and bitter, and dieing, and one particular trait that the plague had was throwing up. It was such disgsting throw-up. Blackish-brown and just... gushed out of them. And if that touched you, you were a gonner. So, I avoided them as they were chasing me, trying to seek some form of vengiance on me for making it that far without the virus. If they couldn't leave alive, then -nobody- would.
Well, I finally made it to the top floor. And, there was my team... along with the dead body of the fourth member that we had left behind. How did he make it that far? Who knows. But, he did leave the rest of the team with a... gift. They all had the virus. And, so... Well, I had to get the hell out of there. And the only available way was through the ventalation ducts. You can just imagine how fun that was. I could hear them shimmying so quickly, closer and closer, from all directions. I could hear them, but couldn't see them. Just like in the pitch black of the floors below. And, as I got farther down the ducts, kicking one of the people off of my leg at one point... I woke up.
"Goddamnit! Now i'll never know what happenned!"
I don't know how it would've ended, something twisted and not pleasant - for sure. But, soon as I have the time, i'll write up an ending for it. 3nodding
