Today was the neighborhood kids Christmas party at headquarters. Had to pick up a couple big bags of candy before I left for the kids and picked up a pound and a half of pepperoni for myself while I was at it. The party was good and may be the only one that these kids get to have and the gifts they received today might be the only ones they get this Christmas so we do our best for them. Had a good time with the kids and with my friends and fellow chiefs. Thankyou to The Vice Commandant, Sally Brice O'hara and her aide (sorry Commander, I forgot your name) for showing up for the kids. That was a first!
Good news today as well! I got the job and only have to go through the formal negotiations for benefits and such.
