My dad got his boat motor fixed so he wanted to take a joy ride down the Congaree River. I went along hoping to go swimming and enjoy myself. After we rode a couple miles down we found a sandbar where we tied up the boat. Dad was soaking some rays and I was letting some small fish nibble on my legs. It tickled like mad but I kept still....ANYWAYS!!! Dad went back to the boat and he tried to crank the motor. After about 15 minutes he took a look at it. Apparently a piece had fallen off. So we were downstream without a motor. I walked the boat for about a mile until it felt like my legs would fall off. Dad walked it for less since his legs are like twigs. We both had an oar and we paddled our way upstream for about a 1/2 mile. We found the closest dock since we heard thunder. A nice lady with her two kids gave my dad a ride to his truck which was WAAAAAAAAAAAY out from where she was going to. Thank goodness though since the storm was approaching fast. I was slightly crispy from being in the sun almost all day so I sat sipping a Yoohoo! drink while wrapped up in a towel. After getting home I promised myself never to go on another river trip with my dad. He is cursed when it comes to boats of any kind.

So that was what happened at the Congaree River.
My body is so sore from walking the boat and paddling so hard.
