Regardless of the Passion, regardless of the creed
To bring us down, weak-hearted, to the Final Fatal Flaw
To give up the chase of Justice; halt the 'arm of law'
Purposely misinterpret that which meant to save
Steer the 'Good' from 'Evil', teach us to behave
Sad, a lesson learned too late
to save suicidel souls!
Gazing back along the trash-strewn trail
Would try to hike back, rewrite the tale
A story of self-defeat, victory to none
And yet a pointless battle, fought by nearly everyone!
Why abandon love, in reckless delight
Ruin day with the ravages of the night
Human grief, memory to pain
Soft as silence, yet torture to the brain!
Suffering rushing from a poisoned mouth
Gasping as a drowner in darkness of Doubt
Righteous doubt that asks in earnest voice,
"Temptation has led me here, but alas, twas it not my choice?"
