A underground last resort for human survival. The walls made of concreat and steel to keep out the elements and undead, Zombies. With the main thought of keeping the groaning and moaning walkers out and keeping living alive. The large facility holds research labs for studiying the creatures and how they move and operate. Which so far seems to be random and attack any living life-form. It also holds gardens with artificial sun and a water supply that's been tested and approved to drink and feed the plants.
Although the creatures groan and moan thats all their vocal cords can manage, Their lungs inactive as their vocal cords are as well. All or the organs shut down. They bite only to spread the virus. Not so much to feed. Just multiply. Best to travel in day. Useless if you can't really see. They rely on hearing and scent. But they can see, overtime their bodies deterierate and rot away. To the point they just fall apart.
Their are survivors on the surface that face they everyday challange of keeping alive.
Very few within the facility and outside it have strang abilities. Powers, with that comes immunity to the virus in all. They can take the virus into themselves if bitten or sfratched and make themselves more resilient and stronger.
Be strong now
Because things will get better
It may be stormy now
But it can't rain forever.

A brilliant researcher she's completly normal. She spends majority of her time in the labs and is only seen going to dinner lunch and breakfest. Also heading to her room for rest. Otherwise always in the labs.
