Destiny Is But A Dream
To think on destiny,
many thoughts conceive,
along with ideas,
as the frosting on a dream
To encounter death,
we all know it exists,
be sure to be wise,
of teachings you esteem
O fate! do you exist?
and to destiny blind!
is nature natural?
or created by someone?
Grief I have known you,
and joy, I have rejoiced,
death I saw you briefly,
and my life I can attest
Love, is hate your brother?
and birth a murders friend!
I have known the universe,
but only for a time
And I have drank the cup of bitterness,
as with a goblet of wine,
breathed the breath of love,
and inhaled hatreds flame
And as I contemplate the scheme of things,
I know I have tasted life and dreamed dreams,
and yet I found the purpose not fate nor destiny,
so it would not surprise me if this day I would even taste death also!
How glorious to realize life is everywhere,
and I myself am fully at ease with the breath I breathe
