Fly Me to the Moon 10/30/09
October 31, 2009 Friday 1:37 AM

Dearest Sennyo,
Today was absolutely amazing. For starters, I was already hyped up over Sugoicon and I did not take that drasted medication at noon-time, or rather, I faked it.
I changed straight after school with everything but my wig in place. Ben was also in the car. He's more or less the same, a bit more mature, but he wore a long vest/coat-like thing, he was trying to look like Cloud-san.
Upon arriving there around 4:10 to 4:20, we waited in line for about thirty-five to forty minutes to register. Hanatarou stood right behind our group and just as we were next to the register I gave him a hug.
We all then went to the bathrooms to change after we had been registered and we recieved our badges. We then went into the Dealer's Room through the right entrance. Before us was the vendor of cute plushies and after it the snack-foods and drinks (of which I bought a tea flavored of coffee and milk and coconut-flavored pocky), to our right a vendor of really kawaii plushies and small bento-boxes and Domo and Totoro merchandise (Totoro could come out of the Cat Bus plushie!). To my left the usual boring ones and straight ahead were cat-ears, bags, keychains, etc. The woman working there was really stingy and I wanted to buy this one pair of ears but one of the fuzzy parts of the ear was missing and I asked her about it but she claimed to not know what I was asking (which was if she knew where it was or if there were spares). I then bought a white one with golden fur for Kristen. When I went into Ben was really excited about these masks so he pulled me by the arm from where I had bought my first items: the pocky and tea. He bought the Anbu mask since the lady working said that he needn't bother cosplaying Saturday, just wear the mask. I then bought the cat-ears for Kristen from that Stingy woman. I could not find Veil, Ben, or Kaitlynn after this so I just looked at other things. Veil called me and they later caught up with me as I was still looking at things. I bought a pair of black cat-ears with magenta (same color as wig) fur before leaving after many minutes of pondering. We went to the vendors and there was a cutesy little vendor worked by a sweet lolita selling little dessert keychains, etc. Some person on our way down their commented to his friend, "Hey, she's not black." How funny I thought it was. We walked around some and went back to the dealer's room where I bought Annie her Kama Chama Karin Chuu manga book two. It was still nine dollars, no discount at all.
It was the evening now and Kaitlynn had gone outside and then inside to sit down because she wasn't feeling well as Veil and I went into the Shinjiku concert. It was so cool! We stayed only long enough to see one artist (not even all the way through though) before we decided to change for the dance that would start at 8 PM.

The dance: it really was just so amazing. Just about as enjoyable as the rave. So many people (with few enough that there was a decent amount of space to move around in. Kaitlynn was the first to be asked. It was during a pop-song and a young man/teenager asked her to dancee, him trying to dip her to a hilarious avail and etc. The it was Veil by a man dressed as Tuxedo Mask. Many hugs were given during this time. It was as the end, though, that really got me. During a pop-ish song I saw a young man, probably an older teenager, wearing visual-kei-like clothing with a mask on. He had thin, blonde hair that was swept over his eyes that had white-iris contacts on them. I asked him for a hug and he said to me, "May I have this dance?" I complied and we awkwardly danced. He told me he didn't know how to dance after I had apologized for messing up a few times. The song had quickly ended a short while later and I awkwardly shyed away from him.
Fly Me to the Moon.
It was the last song right after they had announced the King and Queen of the ball. I was really rooting for the man in the red-jacket and white scarf since he really was just so amazing and humorous a dancer, influencing many, but Tuxedo Mask won in the end. We were thinking about leaving and we were in our usual corner to the left of the room, near the stage, with our things when he walked towards me. I was on the dancefloor not holding my belongings. The song had already begun somewhat (very little) and he held his hand out to me. I took it with my right, then quickly switched to my left. It was very awkward at first. We were holding hands in dancing, our forearms (and my arms) raised somewhat with our finger entwined. After a long while of this, swaying slowly back and forth to the music, I could tell that both of us were feeling awkward about this. When we first started dancing his mask was up but he had taken it off his bridge of his nose to tell me, "Like I said, I can't dance." I'm quite sure he's done it before though, given his looks. I then let go and put my left hand on his right shoulder and our free hands held together (which he later fixed since my fingers weren't intertwined with his. He was a bit awkward about it at first, cautiously putting his hand just on the back curve of my waist and we shifted oddly trying to find out which way to sway. All throughout the dance, when I looked up from looking at his chest or jaw his eyes were always gazing at me, a smile on his lips on that beautifully shaped jaw of his. Sometime during the time we had changed our arms and hands positions he had roughly taken off his mask and had thrown it on to an empty chair to his left. His mouth so nicely shaped on a very well-shaped chin and jaw and facial structure in general. As we danced, never rotating really, I felt no magic in our embrace. I felt that I wanted to become closer to Him, but not this young man. He was always looking at me though. After my several upon several glance-aways that I had had where upon I locked eyes with him for at most one and a half to two seconds my glance shyed away back down, he said to me something like, "You have really pretty eyes." or something like that. I replied to him, after umored exhale, I said somethng around,
"You too." or "Thanks (or Thank you?), you do too." I then asked him what his natural color was, he replied blue. "Blue? That's pretty." I said, although my voice was probably too faded for him to hear. A stupid answe anyway. It was not so romantic as... my heart yearning for Him. I sometime purplosly drew myself very very slightly closer to him. I could feel his breath on my forehead/hair.
Fly me to the moon.
The song ended and he gave a very gentlemanly bow to me, and I curtseyed. We then hugged, me starting it. It was somewhat longer than the usual embrace given to passerby con-goers, but on his way coming out of the embrace he said to me as his beautiful pale lips passed my right ear, "My name is Zack." We had come out of the hug.
"My name's Stephanie." Things happened and he fell back into the crowd pouring out of the ball. Things happened. Veil said that she had got a picture of his dancing, saying that we seemed so cute together (or something like it) and Kaitlynn Kreiner said something like, "You two seemed pretty into it."
It was my first (real) dance. As were sometimes drew closer while dancing and I looked into his eyes, he would always be gently smiling at me. I was worried that something would happen though.

So silly are you, are you not? Believing in the worst. Believing that a stranger at a convention that was dancing with some girl because she had asked for a hug would possibly even kiss her.

Veil, Kaitlynn, and I then went back to the car so the two could get their change of clothes (normal clothes), whereas I just put my orange sweater over my black graduation dress and the white sash around it. Kaitlynn on the way over was inquiring why it was that I hadn't asked for his number. I told her that I didn't like getting close to people since they (the relationships) always end, etc.

We then spent the rest of the time goggling at the Takeko brothers, Japanese musical artists that had preformed at the Shinjiku concert which none of us saw due to the ball (it was a rather had choice), but after maybe twenty minutes of goggling we finally got in line, Veil and me. Kaitlynn later joined us several minutes later at my invite. We got the signatures of those two girls, and then even Hideki and Nobu! We then got a picture with them, Megan and I, seperately. However, I noticed that neither of them took the hugs given after the pictures as normal, they seemed rather surprised actually.
So overjoyed and hyper and psyched and wonderful and just about near happy I felt today.
