Magic Thief by Sarah Prineas. Best book in the world. My favorite line is "Tell the gutterboy to shut up. I want to stop hearing about the damn biscuits." It's my signature =)
It's from this part when Conn, a thief, stole the Duchess' jewel, which was actually a locus magiculus, a.k.a. magic stone. These guards caught him and made him drink some stuff to make him tell the truth, and he was hungry so he kept talking about biscuits. Then the guard got fed up and told him to shut up.
Also another part is about Benet, the wizard Nevery's bodyguard. In his job description it says "Benet is a very tough man. You would not want to meet him a dark alley, but you would want to eat his biscuits." Soon he and Conn have a friendship which consists of Benet cooking and sewing sweaters for Conn, and Conn eating Benet's biscuits and bacon. It's just so cuteeeee!
I really like Conn. He's just like Oliver Twist, only a little older. x3 He also looks like this guy I have dreams about o.O Long-ish black hair that flips in front of his face, and bright lazer blue eyes. Dreamyness! heart
...But Ahzelle tells me blue eyes are for haoles. Not that I care xP
