Segmented Scorpion Whip Blade ( SSWB ) that breaks at the segments on command to act as a whip, or can be used as one serrated unit. It takes quite a bit of focus and energy to activate the breaks and to return it to its original sword form. ( Renee will be unable to do this for a while yet. ) The small 'rosybrown' jewel is inset into the butt of the hilt, unobtrusive and almost trite against the butterfly pattern that supports the base of the blade.
