Today I took advantage of my roommate's knowledge of psychology and explored some of the coping mechanisms people tend to develop when they don't want to feel or express anger. It's not just like you can ignore it- not for very long, anyway. Sometimes people start treating life as a joke, or just stop caring- "Ha, yeah. You punched me in the face. That's cool, man, no big deal." Other times they latch on obsessively to an activity and immerse themselves in that in an attempt to bypass their frustration. Originally, I thought Gavin might carve figure out of wood as a hobby, but someone in the running already has a character doing that, so I'll have to find something else. Jewelry-making? Cross-word puzzles? Pottery? Anyway, he might be a little boring an non-confrontational originally, but things ought to get interested once people and events start pushing him past the capacity of his coping mechanisms. Hahaha. :3
Another thing I'm quite excited about is possible getting to portray a dinosaur in an RP! It's not like a normal animal, where everything is cut and dried- you know what kind of family units (if any) they staye in, you know their body language, you know their general temperments. The fun in dinosaurs if that you get to mix imagination and science to create a believable set of behaviors. And they're pretty. Don't forget the prettiness.
*scratches her head* There are just so many awesome entries. I don't think I have to feel particularly bad if I lose to any one of them, although that will mean I'll have to construct a quest thread (*tenacity, tenacity*). But where the hell have all these literate RPers been hiding, eh? xD
