when we were young.

we use to be silly
we use to go to the same school
as i look at the old year books
i see your face
little did i know
you where going to be the guy
and that was last year

and i know now is the happiest time of my life
i take the books and put them on my shelf
to save
this is the best time

as i look at my pitcures i look dumb in my long hair
and i notcie your picture
and i thought how you could be such a great guy
we never use to hang in middle school sure in 8th

i look
i smiled
all the pictures of us changing
one thing
we ever hanged
only in 8th and 9th.
you would pick on me in 8th
and i thought you where weird

but now you are the one
and im so happy
i never want it to go

as i look back
i began to cry
cry for the joy
looking at my old pics
i began i changed a whole lot
so did you

i guess things happen for a reason
and i would never let you go
i know i been down bad paths
and good
i dumped a 10th grader.
so what?

all i knew i loved you
i would escape to stand next to you
i kept my head up
and i never shread a tear since i been with you
i didnt need to put a fake smile on now

as i look
i knew
it was a reason that we are friends
and now much more
we can say we dont need to worry about the past
lets look in the futer
i am happy

i dont need to be said
i dont want to be alone
that why
maybe thats the reason we became what we are
you didnt want to be alone
