I think today was the worst day I've had so far this term/half of the year evil It started out with english, we were planning our dialogue for our story-writing thing, the teacher was talking about how you can include other people in it. My friend and I were writing to each other about it on a piece of paper with drawings on it and another IMPORTANT piece of paper with our map was beneath it. Next thing I know, she comes over, picks up the pieces of paper *all violent-like* looks at them and slams them down on her desk. She goes back to talking and etc...Later on she actually LOOKS at the paper and see's that we need it, so she comes over and puts it back and smooths out the numerous creases that she made. Then she takes my folder and turns over one of the refill pages to where I've drawn a picture of Lara Croft and says 'is this your fantasy?' The thing is I couldn't tell whether she was sarcastic or not or whether she was trying to make me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. Stupid cow. Then a few days before, she gave us the results of our essays back. I got achieved, yet I met all the criteria for merit or even excellence. She wrote some crap on my paper that it was too short (she was wanting an essay of 300-350 word, and I wrote 310) But I typed it out on the computer, so of course it looks short. Then she says that it was rushed, I spent 3 hours writing the bloody thing. Then she says that my discussion wasn't relevant to the topic when it sure as hell was. This is the essay I wrote:
Edward Scissorhands Essay
In the film ‘Edward Scissorhands’ by Tim Burton, two production techniques used to good effect were colour and camera work. I will discuss how these contribute to the overall impact of the film.
The use of colour helps establish our prejudices against various characters in the film, and our opinions on the different settings e.g. the castle and the town. When Joyce first appears in the film she has red nails and hair. These features influence our judgement of her; the bright red colours give the impression of a passionate woman with a fiery temper. This is cliché and stereotypical because not all red-haired people are passionate and temperamental. Edward’s black goth-style clothes set him apart from the society he is trying to fit into, this is seen when he agrees to go along with Kim and break into a house just for her sake. This shows how the mood or temperament of a character or setting can be determined by analysing its colour tones.
The different camera angles give us different impressions and perspectives of the objects it’s focused upon. When Peg drives up to Edward’s mansion the camera is situated on the ground behind her in a worms-eye shot. When she gets out of the car it seems as if the house is looming over her. This lends a sinister and foreboding aspect to the scene. When Peg enters the mansion the camera zooms out to create the impression that she is standing a huge room. This belittles her and makes her seem very insignificant. This shows how a simple birds-eye view or close-up can make the object it is focused on seem intimidating or insignificant.

Now ******** it if that wasn't good enough for her mad
Then science period came along and that just pissed me off more. It's not that I did anything wrong in this class, I just don't like the teacher. At all. Stupid prig she is. She's the kind that has favourites and ignores everyone else and only notices them to make them/us feel stupid. Then came maths. The results came for our NCEA exam and I got achieved. All the achieved questions I got right, everything else I got wrong. This school, this country and their teachers are all so ******** up! Now I feel depressed and want to console myself in chocolate and etc. I have ice-cream in front of me but I don't want it. ******** ice-cream.
