It's funny. Now that I'm away from my job I really want to cook now. Before I was too tired and so sick of messing with food. But now, now I just want to give it all a try.
Last night's experiment was shrimp, artichoke spinach, broccoli, and rice enchilada with a creamy spicy queso sauce. It was a delicious success. The creamy cheese and other milk based add ins helped to cool down the spicy part without actually killing it but helping it on a good level.
So far I believe that I'll stick to small projects, my own little inventions where I'm not thinking of recipes to following rules but an idea with an unknown result.
Next on the list cheesecakes. They may seem simple but really they are far from it. Pumpkin Cheese cakes for the autumn season. I'll give green tea cheese cake a try. And even pumpkin cranberry with an oatmeal crust. Still think that it's too simple not creative enough, what about those in a xango style? (Xango style is rolled in a tortilla, fried, and sprinkled in cinnamon and sugar.)
But there is one thing that I'm dieing to do all because I'm dieing to eat it, an Opera cake. A yummy nutty layered chocolaty cake. I've had a mousse version (if I had a continuous flow of that stuff I'd willingly give up sex) one of the bests in the world.
I have a recipe for it.
Sadly because I'm now housing a cat I won't be able to sale the things that I make anymore (at least until she is gone).
