Grace's Past Part 6
Grace was face down crying her eyes out when a light knocking on her door alerted her to a visitor. She glared at the door with resentment to whoever was on the other side.
"Go away!"
A soft male voice came from the other side of the door.
"Its me..."
Grace grinned slightly then wiped away her tears. She spoke softly. "Come in brother..."
Grace and her older brother always got along. She loved him very much and he loved her. He always was very gentle with her easily hurt feelings and always protected her from harsh comments from their older sister.
Grace's brother Grant sat next to her on her bed and Grace leaned into him completely. Grant patted Grace on the head and smiled warmly at her.
"I'm here to tell you not to do anything you don't want to sister. But I saw you and Ren outside at the ball and You looked happier then I have ever seen you before."
Grace grimaced and lifted her head to look at Grant. "I think i love him brother but I... But I.... I don't want to marry him on Father's wishes! I want our love to be pure and not corrupted by the wishes of out kingdom!"
Grant nodded in understanding. "Do what you wish sister... No matter what I will always be here for you. I'm your big brother after all."
Grace laughed and tackled her brother and hugged him. "I love you brother!"
