This starts out as a normal story of a man, and the innocent soul before his eyes.
You see, what he showed people, was a innocent, clueless man, but inside was what mattered. Behind his deep dark eyes of golden brown, was an unusually ill, or what people thought was ill, tremendously in love man, with a heart that seemed to be both human and stone. Scotty Monroe Salvidor spent his days working in his shop, his lab, searching and testing and all else, to find a cure for one disease in particular. A disease he called ,L.A.R.A disease. See, Scotty’s a surgeon at the nearest hospital, and during one operation, he found an unusual looking bacteria in the patient. Surprisingly, since the bacteria was so openly in the blue, the other surgeons neglected to see it. They overlooked it, not even knowing it was there. Scotty had taken some of the disease in a glass jar to look it over at home. This disease was found on the inside of the left ribcage, and was spreading northwards to the brain. He had found it a year ago, and was still searching. He’s come close many times, but none were the residence of the cure.
Now, as I had said, Scotty was in love. A fair and wan woman of golden blonde hair, green eyes deeper and darker than anything salvidor had ever seen, and a smile sweeter and brighter than the sun itself. Jade hellsman. Ah yes, the only reason that Scotty ever left his house. He would follow her sometimes before going to talk to her. Yes, Scotty could admit he was a bit of a stalker, but he had no ideas of taking it anywhere extreme. Jade. Hey jade. She turned around, holding her hat down on her head. It was raining and was pretty windy. Oh. Hi Scotty. What do you want? Scotty stopped, gave an appalled look, and said, well what’s that supposed to mean? she gave a slight breathy laugh and said, that’s exactly what it means. Well it just sounded, edgy. Is all. Well no, I didn’t mean a thing by it. Alright. Well, anyways, are you free this weekend? Anytime? Oh, well, I have Saturday to my advantage. That work? Oh, yes. Defiantly.
I just thought we could do something little, meaningful. That sounds great. See you Saturday. Alright. Good. See you then. Kay. Bye. Bye.
Scotty went back to his big, black painted house, with silk purple curtains, black rug, and dim lights hanging and looming over anything below them. He pulled a fifth of jack Daniels out of the fridge, guzzled it down, and went back to his studies. Now, Scotty didn’t like when he just spontaneously started drinking like so, but sometimes, something’s, bothered him a bit much. And sometimes even, he wasn’t sure why he was so bothered. He always assumed it was nothing, in that case. But he never lingered on it. He said it was bad for the mind. And most of the time, he was right. Which brings me back to his job at the hospital. All the other surgeons, the doctors and nurses, hated Scotty, because he was always right. Always on the ball, always organized, prepared, and never, never, missed a single thing or made a single mistake in his work. Word had gone round the hospital that some of the doctors and nurses were planning to destroy his(clean, surprisingly)
Record. Some of the doctors and nurses took their planning a bit far. Some planned to catch Scotty and kill him, but not before he told them how he managed to be so perfect all the time. He was always asked how he managed it, sometimes people would even follow him to watch him, see what he dose. He would always tell them, it’s far too long to explain. But I know I was born with it, I just had to practice at it for sometime. What he said made everyone rather angry, because they couldn’t comprehend such simplicity, they couldn’t comprehend that it was so easy, yet so hard to explain, that a blind person could see it(but, you must remember, they are, after all, only human. And the human race doesn’t do much justice, if any at that matter, with brains.)
Scotty always just laughed at them. Sometimes to their face, sometimes not.
But I’ve been rambling on for three pages now. Let me get to what this story Is all about.
Before Scotty Monroe salvidor’s death in the year 1961, age 52, he was the only one who knew this disease existed. And when he died, this disease was found in his studies. Big time scientists were obliged to figure out just what this L.A.R.A disease dose…which caused a massive country wide spread panic.
Because, you see, this disease was in relation to gang green, only this disease made burns, cuts, sores that oozed, and even little black bugs, which are now called Estines, to nest and tunnel up from the craniums of people and animals alike. These bugs could even survive in water of any freezing cold, or burning hot temperature. So it wasn’t uncommon for a fisher or a sailor to catch infected water life. The first actual person to catch it, after the disease had spread, was twelve year old Hayden Batch. This poor girl was the most innocent thing in the world, but someone obviously didn’t agree. Hayden was practically secluded from the outside world. She had no friends left and the poor thing had to be home schooled. Although, nobody knew what good that’d do for a dying child. Of course, no one dared tell her she was dying. But she did die a year later at age 13.
Scotty had thought of every possible way to cure this disease, but then, he thought, why not try the impossible! This man saw enough of the world in his life. He brought weird animals, plants, even weird people over from other countries to use as test subjects. Children mainly, because, think about it, there are people out there that are so poor, they’d give their own children for money. One child in particular, went even worse than wrong. This child, named nakue, was permanently deformed by chemical burns and fire burns. But still lives today and works for Mr. Salvidor.
Scotty had just got up at six in the morning to take his walk like he dose every morning. He says he dose because, the gentle, cool colors of the early sky, the purple, pink, orange, and blue, cleanse him and the rest of the world, and he enjoys watching the world being discarded of it’s sin. A new, better, peaceful day to arise. It’s been three years now since he found the disease. He cherished these moments. The ones where he had totally forgotten that L.A.R.A existed. When he forgot the world existed. And he was doing just fine at forgetting the world until, something hit him in the back of the head. He swiftly and quickly turned his head around, then whole self around, with the sharpest, most fiery look of the devil’s eyes in his own. He stood in pent up, frustrated silence. Glaring around to find what had hit him. Then found a little blue volleyball at his feet. He picked it up, looked up, and saw a little boy. Couldn’t be no older than three. A little blonde boy with pale blue eyes. Just staring back at Scotty. When he saw the boy, Scotty’s frustration started to boil down a bit, because, make no mistake, Scotty was always ready to take on some jackass being an idiot. He slowly walked over to the little boy, and gently handed him the ball. The little boy took it, stared with a bit of a worried expression on his face at Scotty, and took off as fast as his short, stubby legs would go. The boy disappeared around the corner. Scotty turned back around to watch the sky, and it’s reflection off of the water.
Later that day, standing on his front porch smoking, Scotty started thinking about something. He still had that date with jade.
He was starting to kind of rethink it.
Why would someone like her, even talk to someone like him? Scotty could think of every horrid explanation possible. Maybe she’s just standing him up. Maybe everything’s just been a big joke. Maybe she just wanted a laugh.
Scotty tended to think these things. But then again, he never has held himself in any high regards. He never found a reason for life.
Since he was young he’s tried to figure it out. But, reluctantly, he made himself go on that date with jade. But he definitely did not like it. He didn’t really care if he loved her, he was steamed. But there was a reason.(Scotty had always believed that there always had to be a reason for someone’s anger. You can’t just be mad. It just didn’t seem possible.) the reason being, Scotty was waiting, just waiting, for jade to pull a fast one on him. When he waits for such things, he’s gets a bit frustrated. But let’s stop talking about it before the date. Let’s go to the date.
Well, it was that night. They had been at the resturant for about a half hour now and Scotty still couldn’t stop stumbling over his own words. Jade hadn’t done a thing yet. But Scotty had no intentions of giving up.
