when i was watchin' family guy
nd tryin' to sleep
while under pressure

Why wouldn't you look at me
when I told you how much I cared for you
and how much I couldn't stand to live without you?
Did you not believe me
when I looked straight at you
and even spoke in that soft voice that you loved?
Was it because I messed up once
and you swore not to forgive me
no matter how I tried to make up for it?
Or was it because of that call
from that girl
who says she wants her bra back?
So why won't you look at me
no matter what I say
no matter what I do?
And why won't you tell me who you talk to
when you laugh so hard
and stare mindlessly at all day?
So who is that one special person
who sparks your interest
and takes all your thoughts from me?
And why aren't I that person anymore
the one who brings a smile to your face
that brightens up your face and even reaches your eyes?
Did you want me to change
so that I could have you back
and you'd be happy again?
Well, what if I changed for good
just so you could get your way
even though I was too late in the end?
