My weeks have been all messed up. Usually, the weekend means the end of the week, a time for rest before the next week. Not last weekend. No no, instead, a whole bunch of work and activity spilled over from last week and into my weekend, and is still spilling into today, this new week. It's been a lot. Also, TAKS testing is upon the horizon. Normally these tests are a breeze, just two or three days of whacked-out scheduals and filling up bubble sheets. But... It also means that summer vacation is also soon to come. I've got quite a bit of planning to do. You see, my mom wants to sign me up for some summer courses, I want to visit my dad, and I need to explore the possibility of my friend, Makayla, coming to visit. (And maybe more people than that.) Summer~ So close. Not only is it as hot as an oven here in Texas, but it's also dry and bright. I'm craving a little sun, but I'm also dreading the heat. It's like wanting to drink without getting drunk. (Not that I drink or anything, no.)

I've got quite a bit of homework to do; I got off easy today in Comm.App. when they didn't call my name to give the presentation. I'm not nearly ready for it, really. My speech will not last the required 3 minutes. Also... I'm just really tired and don't feel like givng a speech. But that's when you give them the best, right? When you can walk up there feeling tired and just say, "I'm too tired to do this, I don't care how I do, I'm just going to give it and go." At least, that's how it is for me.
