Well I've been able to write one good poem so far so let's see if I can do it a second time. Probably not, but when I'm in certain states of mind I can write at my best. Maybe this one is right although I feel like I may have forced it...a lot
It’s melting through my fingers,
And dripping on my dress.
It’s spilling on your tuxedo,
This pathetic heart-stained mess.
I’ve tried so many times to tell you
Tried so hard to get it out.
When I’m not with you I can’t help it,
You’re all I think about.
This bloody mess that’s spilling,
That’s dripping from my hands,
It’s telling you I love you,
It’s revealing my failed plans.
Just look me in the eyes.
Ignore my heart-stained mess.
Please don’t think I’m crazy,
I’m just trying to confess.
I’m saying that I love you,
Softly, sweetly, slow.
For so many days I’ve choked on words,
But now you finally know.
