As a Running Start student I feel that we are targeted. we are told we are not allowed on campus unless we have a class.
This rule not only limits us, but is also ridiculous and pointless. Here are a few reasons why this rule should be disengaged:
1) We are still enrolled at this high school. We are still students at this high school, and therefore, we still have the right to be at this high school.
2) Our parents are taxpayers. They pay for us to go to this school! They PAY for us to be on campus!
3) We are encouraged as students to be "involved" in our school, meaning clubs, sports, etc. If we're not allowed on campus unless we have a class, we can't do that! Therefore, the school is keeping us from incorporating in the highschool experience merely because we are taking college classes as well.
4) We are still students at this high school! We are not alumni nor are we are not suspended. we are taking steps towards our future and yet they are banning us from the school grounds.
THIS MAKES NO SENSE!
Stand up for what you know is right!
