"Don't wear converse shoes in the snow".

This morning I was staring at a snowdrift that stretched to both ends of the parking lot.

I turned around and asked Kyle, "Hey, how do I get over this?"

"You don't, you walk around it."

Of course, I was stubborn and said, "Screw that!"

Kyle turned back to getting his stuff out of the car and I turned around to my brother again, "Hey, watch me, this is one of those 'stupid freshmen' moments, 'kay?"

I plunged into the snowdrift, and then was on my way to school.

Converse shoes are cloth on the top.

I tried shaking the snow off, but it melted and I had soggy socks.

Yuck.
