These two lines from my favourite Evanescence song are floating around in my head, consuming my thoughts, controlling my actions.

I would write the refrain, but I didn't really die knowing someone loves me. This is kinda kinky...But it won't happen again. I will not put my friends in danger again. It must be stopped. How can it, though. It's getting stronger, It is getting so much stronger. How can we stop it from hurting her? From hurting my friends? I would gladly do anything to save them, even at the cost of my life. Contemplating my actions concerning them all, I will learn from my mistakes, and never do this again.
