Gale sighed. "We can't fight here.... not now..." Koujin and Cid looked at him amazed. "What the hell do you mean kid!?" "This isn't the time.... We have to get back to the girls... unless we want a repeat of last night..." Koujin sighed. "He is right... This thing moves from forest to forest.... Im sure we will meet it again one day...." Xoutan looked at them. "You can't leave!" He seemed to be panicing. "No one has ever escaped from my clearing!!" The Gale backed out of the clearing along with Koujin and Cid. "What makes you think he won't follow us?" Gale laughed. "He is bound to that clearing.... It is his... Curse..." "Oh...." Gale and the others began to walk back towards Ellie and the others. As they approached the battlegrounds of the night before they could smell food being cooked. "They didn't start without us did they?" They came out of the woods to see Ellie and Miko cooking meat over a fire. "You guys are really slow.... We already found enough wood to last us through this meal and to keep us warm tonight..." Gale sighed. "Shoulda just fought that stupid thing..."

Back in the Darkening Shiver Xoutan was walking the border of his home. "To be forever trapped within this border.... Why... Why won't someone release me...." A dark voice rang out in the clearing. "You wish to be free do you?!" "YES! More than anything!" "Then when you next see those three and their companions.... Kill them all.... Leave no trace of them. Do this for me... and I will set you free..." The voice faded. "Yes... Yes I will do it! I know I will find them again soon."
