They stayed in eachother's arms for a few mintues, although it felt like an eternity as time slowly slipped by them. As they broke the kiss both of them said 'I love you' at the same time. They both smiled and hugged the other tightly. They then spent about a week with eachother in a town, all the time flirting with the other. However, Vivi knew he couldn't take her with him on his travels. it could become too dangerous and she might get hurt. At the morning of the last day of the week, they were both awake, dispite it being early.

"Aurelia... i'm sorry but... i can't take you with me for fear of your safety" Vivi said sadly. Aurelia looked at the ground "Yes... i know, i knew you'd have to leave." he hugged him tightly "just... please promise me you will return for me" he hugged her and kissed her forehead "I swear on my soul that i will return for you some day. as long as you don't stray too far from here or any of the nearby villages." She smiled and they kissed eachother one final time. he slowly walked tword the door and looked back at her and smiled "i promise" he said as he left, closing the door quietly behind him.

After a few seconds she turned away from the door, tears starting to well up in her eyes. she saw something glint out of the corner of the room. she looked over and saw a ruby hairpin in the shape of a rose with a note attached. She went over to it and read the note: For the one I have loved so long, i give you this gift for you to remember me. she smiled and started to cry at the same time, both in joy of the gift and of him leaving. He was already venturing through the Kozoi Plains, a while away from the town she was at. a few tears had fallen and showed on his cloak and shirt as he continued.
