The familiar pull,
The urge,
The demand,
The need.
You feel it pulling you in,
Its taking you over,
You are helpless against it.
Can't fight it,
You'll never win.
The pain is mounting,
You can't ignore it.
The explosion.
Tears, cries and screams.
The pain you can control.
So you do.
You take the cold bite of steel.
The first cold biting swipes....
Next comes the familiar welcomed sting,
A angry scratch,
The blood appears.
The warm droplets...
An so now you wear your pain for all to see.
Yet the shame of it keeps you from sharing.
The cycle is unbroken...
