YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED....
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Currently on chapter 32, "The Elder Wand"
I must say, I totally saw the RonxHermione thing since book one. Almost everyone else did, with the exception of those yaoi fans who wished upon some, in my humble opinion, rediculous pairings such as HarryxRon, HarryxDumbledore, and HermionexGinny. I ask you people; Exactly how much free time do you guys have on your hands?
But, like any other fan, I squealed with delight at Ron and Hermione snogging right in the midsts of a full-out battle between the unltimate forces of good, evil, and highly confused people. Alack, the highly confused people. I'm afraid Malfoy falls into that catagory, what with the "We must capture Harry" switching so rappidly to "Oh, Harry, you saved my life; twice!" That's another freaky pairing; HarryxDraco... *shudders*
But, of course, we all knew (or, at least us nusto fans knew) that RAB was no other than Regulus Arcturus Black, Sirus' little bro. And, as my best friends and myself concluded, Kreacher obviously had the locket. It was the very one the group found when searching and cleaning Number 12 Grimmauld Place.
A note about Number 12; I hate the fifth movie. I saw it this afternoon, and wish to perminantly maim someone in charge; No Doby leading Harry to the Room of Requirements, No Bottle-cap necklace on Luna, No kitchen, Still no SPEW (which leads to Ron and Hermione's kiss in the seventh book, I might add...), Cho betraying the group instead of her friend, no circle room with all of the doors in the Department of Mysteries, etc, etc, and so on and so forth. The List continues and only makes me want to cry. I get it, they have a limited amount of time to fit a lot of things in, but then why must they cut out the tiny, quirky details and substitute them witrh their own, less important (and to me, less pleasing) details!?
Maim... twisted
Luckily, the seventh book made up (partially) for the horrors of the fifth movie (alright, it wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that good either). I bought it, actually, at the Rome Airport, straight from England. It's the British "Adult" version (an "adult" appealing cover, with less color on the front (in this case, a giant zoom-in of the Slytherin locket) and a giant black-and-white pic of J. K. Rowling herself on the back) and I read almost half of it on the plane ride home. I would have finished it, had I not taken a break to eat, and do homework.
So, now, here I am, with it sitting innocoently in front of me, taunting me....
Right now, Harry, Ron, and Hermione are crawling to the Shrieking Shack, where Voldemort awaits, talking to Snape about the Elder Wand. I call two things;
1) Voldemort will come to the conclusion that he will need to duel and kill Snape for the Elder wand to work properly (it made sense, since it was Snape who killed Dumbledore, the wand-holder, and not Voldemort himself, who simply stole it from Dumbledore's tomb *damn him*) 2) The Invisiblity Cloak Harry recieved as a gift from Dumbledore, inheritance from his father, is indeed one of the Deathly Hallows, and since it can outfox Death, Harry will be able to protect himself from the killing curse by wearing it/using it to shield himself.
God, I hope Ron and Hermione (and a whole other list of people) survive. Along with Teddy Lupin. He's SOOOOOO Cute! Must take after his mummy.
But, any fan's gotta love Potterwatch, courtisy of Lee Jordan, Kingsly Shacklbolt, Remus Lupin, and Fred Weasly. Fred was forcing me to stuff my face in the airplane pillow, I was laughing so hard. This is why:
"So, people, let's try and calm down a bit. Things are bad enough without inventing stuff as well. For instance, this new idea that You-Know-Who can kill with a single glance from his eyes. That's a Basilisk, listeners. One simple test: check whether the thing that's glaring at you has got legs. If it has, it's safe to look into it's eyes, although if it really is You-Know-Who, that's still likely to be the last thing you ever do."
"Point is, people, don't get lulled into a false sense of security, thinking he's out of the country. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't, bu the fact remains that he can move faster than Severus Snape confronted with shampoo whe he wants to, so don't count on him being a long way away if you're planning on taking any risks. I never thought I'd hear myself say it, but safety first!"
Both of these are excerpts from Chapter 22 "The Deathly Hallows."
I also chuckled at Harry's mental comment on how it would seem impossible to imagine a teenaged Dumbledore, then compares this difficulty to that of trying to imaging a stupid Hermione.
This will be all for me right now, I plan to watch the Original "Harispray" movie with my mom. I look forward to it.
Ja, ne?
