This is a harsh world
With many harsh things
You may try to make your children happy
Try to keep them safe
Try to keep them close
But all good things don't last
Remember
Good things are a moment treasured
Like a really good hamburger
A rainbow
The perfect kiss
Your children
They will grow up like you did
They will be rebellious and wild
Make mistakes
Many mistakes
But you did too
And thats why you try to prevent them
From doing the same
But how will a child learn
If they don't fall off the seesaw
Drink something to fast
Climb on the back of the couch
Get drunk uncontrollably
Forget to use protection
Sleep with somone unstable
Smoke
Do drugs
Get a tattoo
Fail highschool
They won't
They need to make mistakes
And if you be their shoulder
And if you raised them to think before they act
And if you love them unconditonally
Thats the difference between a mom and a mother
Because anyone can be a mother
But it takes someone really special
That climbs lots of mountains in life
Cries many tears
Places many bandaids
Raises their voices many times
Tucks in many nights
And gives many kisses and hugs
That's a mom
Or even a mommy.
And remember, though your children say they hate you
Or want to leave you
Deep inside
If you did your job right
They don't mean it
Afterall
There was a point when you were sitting in your room
And your husband puts his hands on your stomach
Felt the life
Smiling
Dreaming
In amazement and wonder
That inside you
Was a human being
Just waiting to come out
Breathe
Smile
Laugh
Yell
Fall
Dance
Hug
Kiss
Make mistakes
and Love

You cried
You laboured
