O’ glorious sun that conjures and evokes
Life from the ground, awakening from slumber,
And the legion of the neo-generation:
Elders dwindle and fall like autumn leaves
Under the hooves of fecundity –
Trampled! Decimated!
Gracefully receiving replacement,
Entering oblivion and
Are forgotten forever more;
That is the future
For all beating hearts and breathing lungs,
That is what the sun has in store.
But this complex chaos is graceful as
The breath of life being blown upon this plane;
With flowers' perfumes and pheromones
Carried by the wind:
The scent of pollinated fields,
Foreshadowing, a wave of births from the sea of life–
Where pain relieved and new life puts all at ease
And pain prior to nerves’ ease is when perception shall cease.
A constant struggle both hordes charge valiantly
To decrease! To Increase!
To live, breathe, lust, and feast!
To die, suffer, starve, and host disease…
To blanket the youth who have not yet blossomed and flourished,
Let them sleep, whether for a night or eternity –
And thaw out with the warmth of God’s breath
On a motherly bosom may they nourish.
