Flames and smoke
Screams and debris
Buildings are falling
In New York City.
The whole nation watched
As we were attacked
Three planes taken over
Only one taken back…
One plane went down
And took out a tower
The other that followed
Seemed to take the nations power.
This day left its mark
On all of our lives
We’ll never forget it
We can’t if we try.
The people we lost
Our loved ones and friends
They’re watching us now
From up in the heavens.
Ten years have passed by
And I still can’t forget
All the heartache
And sorrow
That 9/11 has left.
This poem is for
The loved ones we lost
It’s my way of showing
That I’ll remember our past.

- UmbraNox said what I was gonna say. ^.^ I love how you say you'll "remember our past" because of the saying "Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it." Am I weird for thinking like that?

- This poem means so much. I know of so many 9/11 stories. And I was supposed to be born on that day...
