Trees freeze to telephone wire on an
Otherwise empty street.
Of course, what else can you expect from January?
Damp Socks and dry air
Always manage to give me a chill,
Making me tremble with cold and fever.
Next time, I’ll wear thicker boots.
Coats and mittens hang on the fireplace mantle,
Offering little resistance to the cold, even dry.
Laughter from children does nothing to warm my
Dreary mood and wishes to hide until May

A short poem about how I feel come February. Winter is fun for a while, but then you get tired of it! XD
