Maybe I was wrong
Maybe you were right
Maybe I’ve been ******** up my life.
The nights are way too long
The sun is always bright
I can’t just stop and drop this knife.
But you come and save me
You hold me till im fine.
Then you leave me empty
How should I feel this time?
I turn into your smile
Walk into your arms
Take you back with me forever.
But your look to me is vile
It says that I’ve done harm
It says that we can never be together.
But you come and save me
You hold me till im fine.
But is this a maybe
Or is it a bad sign?
I push you far away
Completely out of bounds
I turn from you and smile.
But I look back anyway
To see if you’re around
So that I may watch you for awhile.
Then you come and save me
You hold me till im fine.
My knife drops im fading
Already torn to shreds inside.
Maybe I was wrong
But maybe you were too
Maybe this whole world is just that twisted.
I’m not sure where I belong
I thought it was with you
How could I have ever missed it?
Then you look and see me
You see who I am.
I show myself completely
So you will understand.
That im lost…

Description:
The Catacombs of My Closet: Vol 4
The title is actually "A Crumpled Page from a Torn Book" but it wouldn't let me put it all. This one is more songish than poem like but I wrote it to a good friend of mine... It was somewhat of a lyrical letter. We were sort of dating but neither of us knew what we wanted, who we were, why we were together or anything really. We were just confused, angry and hurting each other. It was one of those off and on relationships. This is my expression of it. - Date: 10/03/2010
