    Well, screw them!
    Because that is some bull they want us to believe!
    Out of all the years I've known you...
    I've never once thought of you more than a friend.
    Until now.
    So all those things they teach us,
    about following your dreams...Reaching your goals...
    Could never, in a million years...
    come true.
    Especially when it comes down to you.

    It's not like I've totally given up on
    you.
    I just, don't have anything left to think/want
    of you.
    Five years go by, seeing you, talking to you.
    But nothing has truely changed.
    Except my feelings for you.
    Now they're changing again.

    Now when I look at you...
    I'll see a friend.
    When I laugh at/with you...
    I'll see you as a friend.
    When I see you with her...
    I'll look you straight in the eyes and say...
    "Good for you." Turn around and walk away...
    And I'll mean it. No tears or bottled up feelings
    needed.
