If the very last thing I saw before I'd die
Were you dying, too, lying at my side
I don't think I'd mind, I'd just close my eyes and
Let it come, let it come, let it come
And let go
If the very last words I would ever hear
Were spoken out of love meant for my own ears
I'd lay my head down on the ground and
Listen hard, listen hard, listen hard
And sleep sound
If the very last scent I'd catch before my death
Were that of bazil, rose, lilac and baby's breath
I'd pray for slower death and
Take it in, let it out, take it in
And cease breath
If the very last touch these hands would ever sieze
Were your warm and guiding hands, beckoning release
Who am I to freeze? I'd rise to my feet and
Take your hand, take your hand, take your hand
And follow through
This, the last thing
I would ever do
