The Shattered Heart: Poem

When you feel your heart starting to break,
it begins with an unpleasant ache.
You can't hold back as a sword goes through it,
piercing the surface and making it's crack.
The sword rips deeper and shredding your soul,
it hurts unlike anything else but no one see's you taking it's toll.
It's bleeding, shivering, cracking, quivering,
you thought it was over, but it's only beginning.
You still have to endure the pain, the abuse, the torture, the battering......can you take it any more before your heart starts shattering?
